Recipe of the Month

Rowley Buns

At night mix the following ingredients: Three cups milk, one cup yeast cake, one cup sugar; add flour until the consistency of fritters.

In the morning add currants and cinnamon, also one cup sugar, one cup shortening; knead stiff enough to roll, place in pans and let rise until very light.

When baked, brush tops with mixture of milk, molasses and a little lemon extract.
