Recipe of the Month

Fig Pudding
Six ounces of suet, half pound bread crumbs, half pound sugar, half pound figs, two eggs, one cup milk.
Chop figs and suet, grate bread crumbs, and mix together with a little nutmeg and salt.
Boil four hours.
Sauce:
Two eggs beaten thoroughly; add sugar to make quite stiff, and beat together until creamy.
Just before serving add two tablespoons boiling water and a little wine or brandy or vanilla, to suit the taste.
